Strayform and Privacy

Strayform seeks to strike a balance between community interaction and personal privacy. That is why we give users alot of control over what information to share and who can see that information. The best way to protect your privacy is using our privacy options (the options tab on your member page) and wisely choosing what information to share.

Additionally, Strayform collects statistics based on user actions to provide ranking and recommendations within our system. We do not share any information aggregated or not with external companies for marketing or advertising purposes. In fact, we do not have any advertising at all.

How we Collect Information

Strayform recognizes that its customers, visitors, and members value their privacy. To enrich our members' experience, we request and display some personal information to other members and visitors to facilitate communication and better working of our site. Members can change their profile information at any time and can control how other members and the service communicates with them. Strayform is not intended for, does not collect information about, and does not allow the registration of minors below the age of 14.

You provide certain personally identifiable information when choosing to participate in various activities on the Strayform Exchange, such as creating a Member or Artist page for public viewing. Processes such as downloading and uploading media, viewing pages, and posting messages in our discussions can create statistics and information both personally identifiable and non-personally identifiable. You can decline to have personally identifiable statistics displayed to other users.

Please be aware that whenever you voluntarily post public information to discussions that this information can be accessed by the public and can in turn be used by those people to send you unsolicited communications.

Strayform members can invite friends to join the service and recommend media and pages by sending email via our automated system. Strayform does not sell these email addresses or use them to send any other communication besides the requested invitation or recommendation. Recipients of invitations or recommendations from members of Strayform may contact Strayform to request the removal of their information from our database.

Please note that any audio, video, image, or other content submitted becomes published content and is not considered personally identifiable information subject to this Privacy Notice.

Strayform may send one or more cookies - a small file containing a string of characters - to your computer that uniquely identifies your browser. We use cookies to improve the quality of our service by storing user preferences and tracking user trends. Most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, but you can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, some features and services may not function properly if your cookies are disabled.

Strayform servers automatically record information when you visit our website or use some of our products such as your web request, Internet Protocol address, browser type, browser language, referring / exit pages and URLs, platform type, number of clicks, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed and the order of those pages, the amount of time spent on particular pages, the date and time of your request.

Use of information

Member profile information including members' pictures is displayed to people in order to facilitate user interaction in the social networking community. Personally identifiable and non-personally identifiable statistics are captured and displayed for such purposes as recommending pages, valuating and ranking media and other information on our site, and improving our site.

Email addresses are used for the purposes of inviting new friends to join, to recommend areas of our site, and to send notifications related to the service, updates, or news regarding our site.

We do not share your personally identifiable information (such as name or email address) with other, third-party companies for their commercial or marketing use.

We provide personally identifiable information and non-personally-identifiable information to our subsidiaries, affiliated companies, or other businesses or persons for the purpose of processing such information on our behalf. We require that these parties agree to process such information in compliance with our privacy policy, and we use reasonable efforts to limit their use of such information and to use other appropriate confidentiality and security measures.

We may release personally identifiable information and/or non-personally-identifiable information if the good-faith belief that such action is appropriate or necessary to enforce our Terms of Use, take precautions against liability, to investigate and defend itself against any third-party claims or allegations, to assist government enforcement agencies, to protect the security or integrity of our web site, and to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of members or others, to comply with state and federal laws (such as U.S. Copyright Law) or respond to a court order, subpoena, or search warrant.

Data Security

Strayform uses commercially reasonable physical, managerial, and technical safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of your personal information. We cannot, however, ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to Strayform and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive your transmission of information, Strayform makes commercially reasonable efforts to ensure the security of our systems. However, please note that this is not a guarantee that such information may not be accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed by breach of any of our physical, technical, or managerial safeguards. If Strayform learns of a security systems breach, then we may attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps.

Strayform contains links to other sites. Many links are submitted by Members of Strayform and not by Strayform itself. Strayform is not responsible for the privacy policies and/or practices on other sites. When linking to another site a user should read the privacy policy stated on that site. Our privacy policy only governs information collected on our sites.

The Strayform Exchange and affiliated sites are hosted in the United States. If you are accessing these sites from the European Union, Asia, or any other region with laws or regulations governing personal data collection, use, and disclosure, that differ from United States laws, be advised that through your continued use of the these sites, which are governed by U.S. law, this Privacy Notice, and our Terms of Use, you are transferring your personal information to the United States and you consent to that transfer.

Changes in Our Privacy Policy

This policy may change over time as we modify or expand our service. In the event that Strayform is acquired by or merged with a third party entity, we reserve the right, in any of these circumstances, to transfer or assign the information we have collected from our Users as part of such merger, acquisition, sale, or other change of control. If we decide to materially change our privacy policy, we will prominently post those changes on this page prior to the change and provide you an opportunity to opt-out, so that you are always aware of what personal information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances we disclose it. Your continued use of the website constitutes your agreement to the terms of this privacy policy.
